I am a Jakarta-based jewelry artist who is passionate about creating art jewelry that is meant to be worn for years instead of months. I believe that jewelry should be more than just a fashion accessory, but a small work of art that can be cherished for a lifetime.
My current work is very much about wire, gemstones, and the metal itself. I am a self-taught jeweler, and my approach to jewelry making is unconventional. I often start by working directly with the materials and building without the help of a sketched design. I primarily work in copper and sterling silver, and I use oxidation and matte finishes to enhance the layers and details of my work.
My jewelry is inspired by simple forms found in nature, architecture, primitive ethnic forms, indigenous crafts, and old-world processes. I believe that these simple forms are timeless and can be appreciated by people of all cultures and backgrounds.
I am so lucky to be able to work as an independent jewelry artist. My work is in galleries and online shops throughout the US, Europe, Asia, and Australia. I am grateful for the opportunity to share my work with the world and to inspire others to appreciate the beauty of art jewelry.
